Life as a WAHM

Since you read my blog, you know I've been to 3 local tweetups, and all of them were a lot of fun. The last one was more fun because I started to remember a few people, even if not always their names. We want to do it every few months or so; I like that idea.

I have never been to a tweetup before, Sheryl. There's not much local people who tweet so most of the time I'm just admiring the events and conventions you guys have over there. Meeting up some FB friends will be exciting, since quite a number of them are bloggers who I frequently visit. Maybe there'll be the day. I'll keep that 'what if' alive at all times.

@Lisa, Brad has to push me into about anything that has to do with getting out. Pretty sad for an ex bartender eh?

I thought of you when Brad ask to get a picture with Chris (I would have proof of my outing). It was also funny to me that Chris is on one end of the meaning of Social and I am on the complete other.

I think Tweet Ups would be so much cooler if I could just tape some Key Phrases on my shirt & anyone interested would see them & come talk to me. Ya know at CES they had girls with big boobs walk around with words (company names) on them & people would just go over & talk to them. Yet, I am not convinced them old dudes really wanted to talk about the brand names. ;)

I think having read your tweets and blog, I did feel better about talking to you. Having heard your "voice" online gave me enough of a feel for you that it was not like you were a total stranger.

I wasn't really aware this was a problem. I guess that's a benefit of not being a forum moderator, eh?

But this makes me respect and appreciate the mods. It must be a tough job. I have a few forums I like to post at, and I would be sad if they died due to spam. Forums aren't dead!

I have never heard of KompoZer before so thank you for sharing this information.
I have only tried frontpage to create my affiliate websites.

@Sire, That's the thing, many people don't care if a board is busy...they just want somewhere to put a link (even if it is useless).

@Dwippy, They don't seem to be doing Link Wheels as they have all their links going to their home page. Well, at least the ones I keep seeing. It maybe that on other boards or types of sites they are linking to their sub properties.

Link Wheels are "in" again huh? I hate link wheels they take way too much time and energy.

Maybe they were never out but I can't keep track of whatever thing is the hot think in link getting this week.

I believe Alkaline Water helped to save my life. In November, 2008 I suffered Stage IV Cancer, from a rare Melanoma . Statistics showed no survivors. After removing what was visible, the doctors informed me that Radiation and Kemo therapy could only improve life expectancy by 10%.
Thankfully I was a Christian with strong faith. I knew I was going, " Home", or being healed. I began Goggle searches for " alternative cancer cures", "holistic cancer cures", and " Is there a cure for cancer?."
I was surprised to learn that cancer researchers know cancer can't live in an Alkaline Environment! So I immediately foound I was hydrated with only 3-5 glasses a day....

Even though my forum isn't all that busy, it's barely breathing ;), I go through it regularly to delete people that have never posted anything.

I don't think they're dead, you just have to find the right ones.

I have done more research into this topic and have found more information at wikipedia and wikianswers. They have good information you may want to look into.

I think that with those instructions, one can create a decent business card. As for the printing, with the cost of ink being so high, I wonder if it might not be better to have your local printer print them for you, especially if you need a lot.

I LOVE your post! I couldn't have said it any better. I wished more forum owners took the time to pay attention to their forums and clean up the crap.

Thank goodness for extra eyes (moderators) to keep the crap where it belong...off our forums.

@Brian, I know you had your time as a forum owner & can understand how hard it is. Most don't build a board just so others can abuse it.
Geesh, I guess I have hung around with you, Sire, & Mitch to long...I'm starting to rant. LOL!

@Tam, Nice to see you! Blog Catalog is going down hill fast. We have a thread in the Marketing section of the Guild about Blog Catalog. It was a very calm rant. ;)

Oh I couldn't have said it any better! I wish more forum places would follow suit. I joined a group called BlogCatalog, made some great friends but now getting a lot of junk, spam and now spam email I believe came from there. Wish they would clean it up. Glad to have found your site....

The problem with me is that I suck at everything I'm passionate about. I love photography but I suck at it. I love watching funny YouTube videos online but I can't get anyone to pay me for it. I love insulting people but I'm too old and out of shape to defend myself. I'm very passionate about young hot woman but my wife scares me.

Personally, I think you would make a great small business consultant. You can help local business get their businesses online, how to get into the serps, leverage social media and things like that. That falls into the 'helping others' category. I'm trying a little of this myself and I think it might work.
