Natural Living - the Non Toxic Life

Thank you for bringing this information to our attention. I've wondered whether the "fund-raising" part of this also applies to our supermarkets which have all the employers wear special T-Shirts and ask customers with every purchase to contribute.

It's criminal that our research and health dollars in this country are spent as they are. The leading cause of bankruptcy and foreclosure in this country (for decades) is not the current "economic crisis" but out-of-control insurance company refusals to pay and killer hospital bills. People are unable to pay their mortgages when they must pay out of pocket for care possibly linked to a pre-existing condition.

We are all connected, and I'm sure tree frogs and spotted owls shed some light on human health care. We've gone to the moon, for Pete's sake! Why not CURE and PREVENT breast cancer?

I am not sure about the local stores. I will be looking into that. I do know that many have where you can pay (donate) a $ and they will allow you to write a name on a pink ribbon, 4 leaf clover...and they display it on their wall. The 'donation' is to go to a charity but, I really never thought to ask if they have a limit or cap on the amount donated. If so, where does the rest of the money go? How much if any is taken out of the donation fund for administration cost?
Now, you have me thinking!

As for the research dollars - argh! I have seen some of the homes that the heads of these charities live in. They are not your 'run of the mill' houses. Now, I would think that if they ask you to donate they would not be taking a huge salary out of the 'pot' but, it is being found out that the charities pay their execs very well. They also take out a large portion for admin service. I understand they do need to pay for employees but, I also wonder what their pay scale is.

Some products that are displaying the PINK logo's act as if they are all for 'curing cancer' but, in fact have chemicals in their products that are causing cancer.
Consumers think they are doing a good thing when buying the product (money to the company & a charity) when in fact the consumer may end up being a patient needing the medical care because of the product. What a mess.

I believe that if we continue to promote and allow the FDA and these charities to scare us we will never find a cure for anything. Sickness is a BIG Money Maker. Preventing disease and illness with natural therapies would take money out of big Pharma pockets and that is why they are doing their best to stop it.

Sorry, I got on a bit of a rant. As you may notice this type of deceit just pisses me off!
