I am going to get this off my chest and then I will move on.
To: MR Online Guru
I am very happy for you that you are successful from all your efforts and everything worked out for you, AND you had the finances to promote all of your own efforts.
You create these WONderful products and dangle them in front of Joe Q Public and say oh gee you have to have these if you ever want to get out of your day job!
And to give some of you gurus credit, I have seen a number of you sell items at REASONABLE costs that anyone could scrape up. But in all honesty, sometimes scraping up that $7 to $10 means eating no meat for dinner for a few days, or some other area of the budget being pinched. A $47 product is a days pay for some people that are trying to crawl out of the J.O.B., and that is a bit much for a lot of people that live paycheck to paycheck, to spare.
I am on a number of GURU mailing lists, trying to glean from them to increase my income. But for the last 2-3 days I have been deleting emails as the subject matter was - 777 - on almost every one of the lists I am on. And then this morning the email says " purchase now before the price is raised!" OH PLEEEEEZ.
The competition between the affiliates of this sale was amazing to watch to see who could give away the most to their list, therefore selling more. It saddened me to see the two lists that I have been watching closely, due to the integrity I sense from their emails, are the ones whose links did not work and will probably lose out more than they gain.
The internet is an amazing tool, that is also exploited.
Who are you trying to help? Joe Q Public or your bank account? Or your group of gurus? You all jump on each others band wagons in the GURU BUDDY CLUB and promote each others ventures.
I may get blackballed off mailing lists after this and if so, so be it. But I really think some people need a reality check.
What do you think?
