Deep Back Linking Makes You Sexy

Back linking may not be a pretty or sexy thing to most people, but we realize it is the life blood of organic traffic. There is a bit more to just owning a website if you want people to see it. On site SEO we won’t even get into right now. It is the off site SEO, the linking that I want to talk about.

Some of the different link types are reciprocal links. The reciprocal link is one in which you have made some kind of deal or exchange. I link to your site and you link to mine. Not my favorite type of linking unless you know the person on the other site isn’t going to take your link down after a couple of weeks, or stick you on a link page with a ton of other links, not a real good Google move. I will use reciprocal links when it is with a site I like, Loaded Web where you have an account, profile, and submit your site. In return there is a little Loaded Web banner to link back to them. They gain power you get power.

Deep links, perma-links, direct links, or sub-links are all the same thing. These are the links that go directly to your post or article. It is important to use these links when you can to give power to that particular area of your site. If all of your back links are pointing only to your home page and you have none pointing to specific article pages, then you are not getting the full benefit of your linking activities. Deep Linking to Improve Your SERP Results

Back linking is an absolute necessity if you want people to find you in the searches. Think about direct links for a moment. When I tell all my friends on my blog about this great page of yours, I am not going to link to your home page, I am going to copy and paste the actual webpage address, for a particular post, out of my browser, into my blog. That is deep linking and what is considered to be natural linking by the search engines.

Ok now that you have set your goal of how many links you will get each day and worked at it for awhile, one day you look at your site stats and you have more page rank. Now that is sexy, I’m talking the power of linking is totally sexy.

We have built the Blog Co-Op to help you build your Deep Back Links

Hi,

Since Sheryl already made a comment over on my blog, I'm sure you guys are already aware of CommentLuv. Actively seeking out blogs using the commentluv plugin is a good way to get Deep backlinks anchored with your post titles. The one caution is, it means that you have to pay a little more attention to writing good keyword focused post titles. ;-)

Yahoo answers is a great place for backlinking. If you have a post that helps answer someone's question, you can include the link to it in the sources.

On another note, I've tagged you in one of those wonderful 7 things about you memes in my http://kikolani.com/meme-7-things-for-new-dedicated-readers.html post.

Hi Judy!
Always nice to see you. I know with your site you can deep link to different product pages when you post places. I hope Spring is headed you way!

@Todd,
Yes the Comment Luv plugin is always a bonus. They do not have it for the B2e blogs or I would put it on here.
I like when I visit other blogs that do run it so, I can see if any titles hit me as a must see.
Some titles just sound much more exciting than others, even if the keywords are not. ;)
Thanks for stopping in.

@Sandra,
Deep Linking is something that many people either do not think about or don't get.
Even bookmarking post is a great way that others help you get deep links and they may not even know it.
I also thread several RSS feeds around then pull them into a place like Friendfeed...
Every little bit helps.

Thanks for tweeting me with this article. Ok, I get that back linking is a good thing that makes sense? but when it posts on my blog with their link, should I give them a link back from it? Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is my first attempt at blogging that wasn't for other clients.
