Some of you may know that I am a forum-aholic. Yes, I know that is not a word in Websters but, it should be.

I have found that forum marketing is a very different type of marketers from those that use your Traffic Exchanges and Safe List. Yes, there are some that use all types of marketing.

A forum marketer is willing to sell themselves. They are not just a product or service. These are real people that rely on their ability to communicate their ideas, beliefs, marketing tips, and the product or service that they stand behind.

Many of their post seem to have nothing to do with business. But, when you think about it, those post have everything to do with business. They may be telling you about their kids, a flat tire, housework, or a baseball game. They are giving you a way to connect with them. CONNECT WITH THEM! Yes, that is the key to marketing most any business. This is truly networking.

As the other members on the forum get to know you. (Not just click a button that ask you to be a friend.) Soon you are building a trust, a relationship. Therefore they will feel comfortable buying from you or Recommending you to others. Hey, word of mouth is a great way to get new customers! That is an advertising method that has stood the test of time! But, that is a whole other post. LOL!

Anyway what I am trying to say is -
Be yourself.
Be honest.
Help others when you can.
Have some fun.
You get the picture!!!
