Are you always paying for ad space?

I know that many online marketers are on a fixed advertising budget. When I started my home business my budget was $0.00. So, I looked for ways to get my sites seen without spending money. That does mean that you will have to spend time.

If you can do a swap with other people think of how many times your link will be seen. This is a great way to keep within your advertising budget. Not only will it save you time & money but, it may put your link in places that you would have never gone before!

Some people think they may loose customers to another site if you do this. Well, if they want products from the Wholefood Farmacy or Jerky Direct they will click on my links but, if they want make up then they will click on my exchanges link. People will go to a site that has the product or service that they want. I normally would not run a link for a similar product.

Here are a few ideas to get you started -

***Article Swap Exchange articles with other people that post blogs, ezines, or news letters.

***Give-a-Way Box Swap Add a Give-a-Way box to your site. Make a deal with friends to list their special giveaway if they will do the same for you. This also can be a Contest Box, Free Drawing Box, Sales or Events.

***Sig Line Swap Do you have room for another link in your sig line on a forum? Find a person that also has room & you place their link in your sig & they will place your link in theirs. This will give you even more links to be seen.

***Autoresponder Exchange If you use an autoresponder and are willing to place a small ad at the bottom of your messages find someone that is willing to do the same for you in a swap.

***Link Page Swap If you have a page where you list links to other sites make sure to find people that are willing to place your link on their page for a link on your page.

***Rotator Swap If you run a rotator & have an extra URL space available find some one that is willing to ad your link to their rotator, then you can fill your extra space with their link.

***Banner Swap If you run a banner rotator on your site trade banners with another site owner that is willing to do the same.
