What's the Deal on Forums?

I am on many forums. It seems like they have slowed down. OR maybe it is more like they just have the same people posting. Some forums have so many members & yet so few people post. I do not know how the non posters think anyone will find them if they sit in a corner & say nothing. Some people only post in the advertising sections (those ads do not get much attention). People want to buy or join with people they know a bit about, a common connection.

I am also finding that few people want to add their real thoughts or info on threads. Lots of "Oh, that's nice" posting. AAARRRGGHHHH! That drives me crazy!!!

I am more of a ‘Tell Me What You Think’ kinda' person. If you have more info or different info - TELL ME!!! I read post so I can learn something - even if it is something silly. I post in the word games, jokes, music….

I also find that no one wants to upset other people so they just post "thanks" or do not post at all. No, I am not into name calling but, not everyone will like you or agree with you. Get over it already! Most people like to see a variety of ideas on a topic.

What has happened to the discussion part? Discussions are where you start learning; it is when the difference in ideas, theories, & thoughts get your mind stimulated.

Build your backlinks using forum post, sig lines, keyword posting.....
Google your name - could you use another listing?

Go to Google put "your name" in the search with the quotation marks & see how you list. You can also do this with Yahoo......

Forums are great way to get seen & heard not only by other members of that forum but also the search engines.

Forum Websters Dictionary -
1 a: the marketplace or public place of an ancient Roman city forming the center of judicial and public business b: a public meeting place for open discussion c: a medium (as a newspaper or online service) of open discussion or expression of ideas
2: a judicial body or assembly
3 a: a public meeting or lecture involving audience discussion b: a program (as on radio or television) involving discussion of a problem usually by several authorities

Hope to see you on the boards soon,
Sheryl Loch
