Business Cards To Help 10 Year Old
Help Brandon break the Worlds Record! Send your Business card!
Brandon Rayner is 10 years old and fighting Leukemia. He not only wants to beat his disease but he also wants to break the World Record for a business card collection!
Now how easy is it to put your card and the cards of your business partners in an envelope and mail them by August 15th to the address below?
He is NOT asking for money just a little help to have 2 dreams come true! Pretty awesome for a 10 year old!
He also would love for you to be checked as a bone marrow donor to help find a match not only for him but the thousands of others that suffer with Leukemia.
Lets see how many parts of not only the US but, all over the world will help Brandon reach his goal.
I know that some of you are ‘all knowing’ when it comes to Viral Marketing – show Brandon what it is all about! Get your online friends to send in their business cards! Better yet – get them to go and be checked as a bone marrow donor on their way to the post office!

Thank you Jo!!I think he will be so excited to see people from all over supporting him.
I know that it must be super hard to stay positive while sitting in a hospital but, this may help keep his spirits up!
I hoped the WAHM's would support this! Heck, WAHM's are the backbone of life!! LOL!

No business cards here, but info for people who want to help. It should be pointed out that international registries are also searched for compatible donors, so if you have friends or relatives abroad, get them to register too. We have a list of international registries in over 40 registries in 37 countries at www.healemru.com/registries.php.Best of luck to Brandon -- we're all in this together!

You have a wonderful site. I encourage everyone to go and see what you can learn and how you can help.
I am not sure how you found this post but, I am really glad you did.
I think anytime you can share this type of information to people is great. I think if something like Leukemia does not directly affect your family or friends you just do not think about it.
I know that registering as a donor is completely painless! Here in Las Vegas they do have a fee but, it is very slight compared to what it can do for someones life.

Hey Millard!! Thank you!!!I am sure the online marketers can really boost his numbers! There are so many of us and we are all great people. Well, most are great! LOL!
I even sent emails to Kurt and Kyle Busch (NASCAR drivers from Las Vegas) to see if they will help out!
I have a guy at Fit Fuel in Las Vegas going to get their crew in on it also.
Just having you all stop and take the time to read this and mail off your cards is making my day!!

I know NASCAR is the best sport in the world but, that is because they are real people. Many of the drivers do things to help out their community and special causes. That is why it has grown to be one of the biggest sports in the country!
Since I am a huge Busch Boys fan, I get ribbed sometimes. That is OK! The Busch boys are not only great drivers but, they are great people.

Rhonda,I am so glad you are sending Brandon a card.
I think it is amazing how many WAHM's have responded on the boards and a few here. Maybe since we have kids we know how important it is for kids to have goals, no matter how crazy. LOL!
You also have some great info on your blog Mommy Revenue. Like I posted there, I have been finding different things to do to fill slow time. This is one, come August I will be super busy with the 30 Day Challenge. I better enjoy being slow now. LOL!

Brad, Thank You!I know that you have seen how much doing something simple like this has really brightened my days.
I love that so many busy people will take a few minutes out of their day to; address an envelope, put on a stamp, and mail their business card.
Even people that I really do not even know have emailed and Twittered that they would send cards and ask their associates to do the same.
You all are super!
Brandon is getting closer to his Worlds Record each day.
I also think that this will help everyone stop and think about Registering as a Bone Marrow Donor.
People just need to talk about it.

If he is not at the hospital at the time they arrive I am sure they will forward them or call his family to come pick up any mail.
The Sunrise Childrens Hospital does a great job at staffing wonderful people and taking great care of the kids.

This is a fabulous post Sheryl. As soon as I read this I started searching my bag for business cards.Do you think he will be able to use old membership cards too, and what about loyalty cards - do they count?
I'm going to have a look around tomorrow to see if I can get more from local businesses. I'll send them by airmil from the UK.

Am blogging this story on my blog too this is a wonderful story and will include in my weekly Money Reiki Healing newsletter!Thank you bringing it to everyone's attention! The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is one of my pet charities, even though no one I know directly has been affected with either L. They just approached me to work on their behalf years ago and I have ever since!
I think it's seeing how tough this disease is on the children that is so moving!

I thought I'd chime in here and let everyone know that my employer, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (we own the Las Vegas Convention Center, where Blogworld will be at) has also taken up a large collection of business cards for Brandon. We've already given him over 3000 cards as of the 15th. We have at least another 5000 now to give him, I literally have about 200 sitting on my desk.Since most of you won't know... a couple hours after Brandon's story (which aired on television here) the mayor of Las Vegas stopped by the hospital to visit him and give him a special business card.
There is a huge drive in Las Vegas to collect buisness cards with virtually every casino participating. When the counting officially stops I wouldn't be surprised if he has around a million, far more than the 150k he was hoping for.

Hello Andrew,Thank you for stopping in and letting us know that The Convention Center is helping push Brandon's goal way up and over the top!
I knew a few of the Casino's were going to collect cards. It's great to know that so many are also working on this project.
As for Oscar Goodman - Why doesn't the nation wide news stations ever jump on to show how many good things he does for the people here in Las Vegas? He helps out with so many charity and goodwill events and the news only talks about him when they think it is negative.
We do have the greatest mayor in the world!
I am just learning about Blog World. I hope to be able to swing that, what a great group of 'news' people will be there. Bloggers are real people with real ideas and opinions. As you can see they also reach far and wide with their big hearts, prayers, and love of what's important in the world!

I know others have tried to collect business cards but, I do not know if they have gotten a turn out like this.
