If you are trying to market your business by yourself you are in for a lot of work.
If you have a TEAM (or downline) you can all work together and lessen the load for everyone. You really need marketing help!!

Once you have found people in the same business that you can openly communicate with (think of a skype group), you need to make a plan.

Find a forum that you can all join.
Read the rules, register, fill out your sig lines, do your proper intros….
Now you are ready.

Since each person on the team will have different strengths and topics they like to talk about you can have a mass cover of business sig lines all through the forum. I am not talking about posting ads but, actually participating in general discussions on the forum!

While Judy is talking about music, Bob is in the sports section, Herman is over telling jokes, and Ted is giving people help with fixing their web page. There are now links to ‘Joe Blows Fitness Video’s’ (insert your teams business name) in 4 sections because of the sig lines each member is displaying.

You are going to see the benefits in at least 2 ways doing this;
Your team’s business has just now reached 4 times as many eyes.
It also gives the idea to other forum members that they maybe missing out on something since so many other people are in ‘Joe Blows Business’.

Get a Group Mentality;

Think about this for a moment. If you are driving down the road and you see a person standing on the side of the road looking out over a lake. You do not think twice about it you may notice them but you do not even think twice or slow down you just drive on by. On the other hand if you are driving down the road and you come across a group of people looking out over a lake your curiosity gets the better of you. You slow down and do a little rubber necking yourself. You may even stop and get out joining the group to find out what you are missing. Bigger is better, more attracts more and that is a fact.

Now, that you are participating in the forum in your favorite areas and have been an asset to the forum you can also place team ads.

You will need to decide if you want to run a team rotator in ads. Or just all run your own link and let the “new potential member” decide who they would like to join under.

One person can go and place an ad in the proper advertising section.

The 2nd team member will place a reply to that ad.
Make sure you are adding NEW information about the business with each reply.

Team member #3 waits and comes in and makes another reply to the same thread. Maybe about a cool conference the business held.

Team member #4 can come in and tell about how they use the product and their results….
Just keep adding information to the same thread.

Do NOT freak out is people in the same business also jump in. As long as they are adding good content they are just building the group ad. You may even ask if they would like to join in your group.

This makes a thread HOT. The more replies in a thread, by a variety of people, will get much more attention then every one running their own.

Note to team: If you all just post the same ad with no personality added then it is just another ad that no one will keep an eye on.

If you are concerned that you may loose a new sign up to a team member – you never had that new member anyway!

People join with others for a variety of reasons. They may have just liked the other person because they had an aunt with the same name, they may just like people from Las Vegas……
Do not worry; the next person may like your name…

If other people in the same business are getting more sign ups, then you need to watch and learn from them. You are your only competition! You may just need to step up your game.

Every time you post, you leave a sig-line showing people what business you do online.

This is your secret advertiser, no need to spam or talk about your business. Just talk about what you know and love. Your business always follows you! Give great info and people will stop and look! Network and get to know people as people not projects! Be sure to offer others marketing help every chance you get.

Now for PHPBB forum sig-line.

First go into your User Control Panel, on this board it is located on the top right hand side of the page. Go into your control panel and click on profile located on the left hand side.

Once you do that there will be another box that appears in its place, click on Signature. This will open up your signature editor.

If you put your link in the editor, highlight your link, now go to the top control panel and click on the URL button. Doing this you will have a raw link show up in your sig-line. Just the way it looks in the editor without the commands showing.

To cover your link, after you get your commands around your link you need to remove a bracket from the front command and add an EQUAL sign between the URL and your LINK, no spaces. You will now have two brackets back to back after your link. In between those brackets you need to add the text you want to show in your sig-line.

You can add a bit of plain text above your covered link to describe your site or intent.

Be sure to read the rules of each forum you join! Every forum has it’s own rules about sig lines.

The Thirty Day Challenge is in full swing.

Cait and I are a bit behind but, that is not a huge problem.

We are using a new Keyword Research tool that is wonderful (once you know how to use it). The problem is that Google decided to do a new project and cut off many of our stats results so, Cait and I were really a bit lost on how to read the charts.
"Damn you Google! Do not try to get between me and my Samurai!"

The chart shows you the competition for a keyword or phrase. Not the old fashion way of going through several tools to gather Searches per day, Adword clicks, Percent that bought, Competing site number, Once you have a phrase you can see the top 10 listings for the word (or phrase) with the Page Rank, Link Backs (page and domain), Yahoo and DMOZ listing, onsite optimization….
So, that is what Cait and I have had trouble understanding. What factors can be beat out by us to get our niche phrase into the top ten list.

Once you have found a phrase that you feel you can get to the top, you then need to find an affiliate program so you can sell a test item.

Build a free Wordpress blog and put it out there with the entire on page SEO and see how you rank! Once you start ranking you then will be able to see if the people coming to your site actually pull out their wallets and buy.

Cait and I have narrowed down the keyword phrases, now we are not using a Wordpress blog but are going to optimize a new blog on our current one just as practice.

Some people already have their new blog up and going. I just had a really hard learning curve with the research tool. That is another whole story about back linking that I can not get into. Why? Well, they have not really gotten into that much yet. As for me and Cait – “We ain’t afraid of no back linking!” . That’s not true some of those sites for our keyword phrases we looked up, had 100,000 + back links. I am good but, not that good!

Ok, I had better get to word Cait has her list ready for me to ‘approve’ and help get her signed up to an affiliate and get her pages built!

I will say the best part is even though we are days behind, what we are learning will be ours long after the Thirty Day Challenge.

Many people that first visit here ask what kind of blog is that?
Is that a special script?
How can you have all those blogs separate but together?
Is that 1 blog with lots of section.....?

So, because of that I thought I would just share some information about this great blog script known as b2evo or b2evolution.

Some people have not figured out the B2Evo blogs yet because you can add as many blogs as you want at 1 spot. I also run a rotating front blog because the search engines seem to love it. I have been criticized about my blog because it is 6 blogs in one. That is OK, it is working to get new customers & that is well worth all the grumbling I hear.

I am not sure about word press but The B2evo has excellent stats in the back.

A little about the B2evo blog.

This is not your regular blog. You can have as many blogs as you want all connected by one domain name.

Each blog can also have unlimited categories and sub catigories. If you find you want a new sub section or blog added - Do it at any time!

Each blog also has it’s own Name, Tag Line, Skin Choice, Short Description, and Keywords. These are easy to access in the ADMIN area. If you do not like what you have, just log in and change them.

Super easy posting! Automatically sends out pings when you hit the Post button!
The tracking stats are amazing!! Check each blogs stats!

**The Hit Summary shows you how many hits from XML's, Browsers, & Robots for each day.

**Browser Hits shows Referring searches, Referrers, Direct accesses, Self referred,
**Special referrers, Admin you can see them for each day.

**Search Hits - This stats page will show you the search engine that referred someone to one of your post it also includes the words they searched. If someone searches Google for "Hot Conference" & they came to read your post that included those search words it is listed with the "search words".

**Referred browser hits will show you what site referred a hit to your site. If I have a banner on a forum of social site, someone clicks it & visits my blog I will know which site the banner was on. This way you know which sites are producing traffic for you.

**Direct browser hits - These are browser hits from people who came to this blog system by direct access (either by typing the URL directly, or using a bookmark.

**Robot hits - This page only includes hits identified as made by indexing robots a.k.a. web crawlers. Some may include Googles Googlabot, Yahoo Slurp, MSN msnbot.....

**XML hits summary will show hits from XML readers. This includes RSS & Atom readers.

**Referring Domains will show total hits from any a domain. This way I know which domain's are producing the most hits to my blog.

Banned List - Banned domains blacklist
Any URL containing one of the following keywords will be banned from posts, comments and logs.

If you have found other words you can add them easily! B2evo also updates the list they have found with just 1 click. Beware - the list of banned words is just that - words that you do not want allowed on your blog! You can see these words listed & yes many are not family friendly!!

Complete notification & control over Trackbacks & Comments.

I have an older version and will see about upgrading at some point!

Well there is more I could say but, you would just have to use it to believe it!!

The b2evo is a free script.
They have an excellent forum with great people to help answer questions.

I am going there now to get a new plug in that I saw earlier. LOL!

NOTE: Some host are not familiar with this script and you may not have great luck with getting them to understand what it is.
If you need a host that is VERY understanding of the b2evolution set up, I have one.

The best personal service I have ever seen. I've also never had any problems with down time......

One of the most important, and most widely overlooked aspects of online marketing, is introducing yourself to other people. The biggest reason for this is, people get so involved with their program, their business, and the money!

Wanting to share information about your business is a great thing. You need to know the ins and outs of your business so you can give an informative reply when asked about different product, services, or terms of what you market.

Say you are standing in line at the store, invited to a gathering with some new faces, or even pull up a bar stool beside a stranger.

What do you do to introduce yourself?
Possibly a little small talk about the weather, sports, or current events, then share your name and a handshake. Typically people will exchange information about themselves until they find some common ground. Believe it or not, most of the time, money is that common ground. There are very few instances when meeting new people that "what do you do to make money" is not brought up.

The forum, and social network intro is the same way. Sell yourself and your worth first, share what you know and help people. You will be remembered in a more positive light. Offer marketing help to other any time you can. Sharing your business tips not only helps others but, builds a relationship.

If you do not believe that a proper introduction about YOURSELF is important then I have a test for you!

Walk into church, a shopping mall, family gathering....
Now, you remember that intro, PM, or email that you put out to strangers and claimed was not an ad?
Walk up to any stranger at one of those places and read that intro to them. See if they just walk off, give you a WTH look, or maybe they will jump on your business offer and buy all your items.

It will be tremendously more productive in the long run to enhance the quality of your life, really get to know and become friends with more people.
