How often have you checked to see how many of your pages YAHOO has indexed?

This is very easy to use, no registration required. Simply put your URL in the box and hit EXPLORE.

Here you will find how many subpages of your site have been indexed by YAHOO. (Subpages are pages within a main domain).

You will also be able to see where YAHOO has found inbound links leading to your domain either as a main domain or it’s subpages.

If you can not find your domain in the Yahoo Site Explorer and it has been online for a while I would suggest you submit it.

Some people tell you to submit your sites ASAP when you build them. I think if you are updating and building inbound links YAHOO will automatically find your site. I feel that letting the Search Engines naturally find your site is a better route.

I know that some people will also tell you to resubmit every few weeks, months…I would not! The best way to make sure you are being indexed is by Updating Content and building those backlinks (not on a link farm or by blaster)!

By writing good content you may also have the chance to have other people reference your post and link in for you. BONUS!

Short and sweet blog business tip of the day!

Here I will show you that posting comments on blogs can build Your Page Backlinks which are very important. It will take a few extra minutes to find an article from your blog that matches the one you are about to post at but, very well worth the time!

You have found a blog article that you would like to post a comment on so, now what?

I will say this for anyone that is trying to take a short cut – READ THE ARTICLE! You also need to read through the other posted comments. If you skim through and post your opinion you may look like an ass when others realize that you are not on topic!

Write out your comment on a document that has a spell check! You can use WORD if you have it but, Word will carry allot of extra code when you copy it out to place in the comment section. To get rid of the extra code baggage is simple, copy it from your word document & paste it into NotePad. This will strip out any extra and unneeded code. Now just let it set there for a minute before you start slinging post.

You now need to look at the post in your own blog.
Do you have a post that is very similar or directly connects to the article you are commenting on?
Once you have found a post on your own blog that relates, you need to get the Permalink to that post. This will be the link you leave with your comment. This is how you are going to build Page Backlinks!

Why are you leaving a link to a certain post you wrote and not your home page?

Because you want inbound links to every page of your blog not just your home page. The search engines consider every post in your blog as a separate page; you want them to look at each page not just the same ol homepage every time. Page backlinks are counted separately from Domain backlinks when a search engine gives relevance to your site! You need to build both!

Ok, now you are almost ready to post your comment! Go ahead and open up the blog where you are going to leave your valuable comment!

There is a box to insert your Name.
Some blogs will only allow you to leave your actual name or the owner will delete your comment. Some allow you to leave keywords or your blogs title. This is totally up to the blog owner as to what they accept. It is best if you can leave keywords relevant to your blog but, if they do not allow that then you may be considered a spammer and your comment deleted that does you no good to even post. I suggest you follow the norm of other commenter’s, especially if you are a 1st time poster to that blog.

Now you are ready to post.
**Fill out the name section,

**Place your actual email in the box, (I have never been spammed by a leaving my email on a blog comment)

**Place the Permalink, from the relevant post of your blog, in the URL box,

**Copy your comment from the WordPad document,
Double check it for spelling and make sure it states your thoughts.

**If they offer to notify you of Follow Up Comments, I check the box in case the conversation gets lively! I may have more to say!

**Now Submit!
