Hey Brian,
7 Zip - Site states;
Packing / unpacking: 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2 and TAR

Unpacking only: RAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZH, CHM, MSI, WIM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS

So it does unpack RAR files but, does not pack them.

I guess that may be a paid program that will pack them. Truthfully, I have not looked into it but, if I find out - I will let you know.

You are on the top of my list & it's not my shit list. ;)

But, Brad just said the program that he knows that does pack in RAR is paid. He has also found out that packing in TAR is suppose to be just as close to flawless as RAR.

All this Tar & RAR stuff is making think I am turning into an Emo kid.

I hope this helps!
Sheryl - rar - rar (Emo wanna be)
Great tip Sheryl. I use windows vista and it has a zip utility build-in. It's those .rar files that elude me. I have downloaded two programs that open .rar files but one was just a trial and the other didn't work. I guess .rar is another compressed format like .zip files.
