How Do You Get Your Backlinks Indexed?

No really, I am asking you 'How You Get Back Links Indexed?'.

I know that many of you are wondering the same thing.
You have built so many backlinks but, it seems the SE’s do not notice them. You have these links built and you want them counted.

I wish I had an awesome answer for you.
I have spent a good bit of time keeping track of where I have placed links, both Nofollow and Dofollow , on blog comments, other peoples blog post that linked to me, forum post, and other mini blogs….

I have backlinks that are not being counted.
Where the $&*@ are my links?
Why are my #%*# links not being counted?

Since I still have not found a sure fire way to get all my links indexed, I will give you some of the things I have done to try and help those lost links.

I am pretty good at Bookmarking blog post where I have placed comments. This seems to help a little but, sometimes the bookmarked page gets buried before it gets indexed.

I have RSS feeds (from my mini blogs, bookmarking profile, and our forum) hooked all around to both Dofollow and NoFollow places.

I have even Pinged sites where I have profiles with links.

Still I have links on pages that are not indexed.

Oh not to mess you up but, it seems that sometimes the SE’s will only index part of a page. This leaves out any links that are more than 2 paragraphs down or are in the comment section. (I am not an SEO expert this is just what I have noticed).

I will say that forums where I do my mini blog post and have a couple of paragraphs do seem to get indexed the best. That is why we have the Blog Co-Op set up the way it is. I’ll make another post about the SE’s and forums later.

I do not know what else to do (or I can’t think at the moment of it as I am frustrated).

UPDATE - See How to Get More Backlinks Indexed Faster

So, let us all know how many mazzilion backlinks you are not getting indexed and if all your links are indexed then tell us how you get that done.

Please help us get the SE’s to index our missing %$#@ backlinks!

Thanks,
Sheryl

I have a back link from commenting on your blog at 'Resource Code Box for Banners, Badges, Buttons'. I do see back links from blogs and forums but truthfully it's a very small percentage of what I actually post. I mean very small, perhaps less than one percent.

Peter Lee posted an article on his blog back in October called How Blog Commenting Got Me 1200 Backlinks in 5 Days. It's a pretty interesting tactic and I was thinking about testing it on one of my newer blogs to see if links grow faster. I just retweeted the post if you want the link. I don't know your comment policy regarding links.

While checking backlinks a few minutes ago I was surprised to see a link indexed by Google on TopBlogArea.com. What was surprising is that the link goes to an internal page of TopBlogArea.com which contains a link to a site that has been off line for over a year. I have that old site parked and forwarding to my main site. It's my main site that shows up in Google. That's a lot of re-direction (3) before my URL is even reached yet that is the one indexed. It's very hard to understand Google.

Sometimes it works to just drop the page containing your link on digg.

I have still been working on how to get this done. Even reading what I have found online has left me empty handed.

It may just be that the SE's will only pick up what they want and the rest are just left out.

I think the forums that allow a mini post (description of your article with a perma link) have been great, if you can find forums that are not spam farms. I've also been doing this on a FEW social sites in the blog area. Not all social sites are created equal and some are just to spam filled to mess with.

The bookmarking of post that have a backlink to me is not really working that well.

I know that the Goog boy Matt Cutts would say to simply write good content and people will link to you. Hmmm, guess I will have to write better stuff. Then try to get it seen by the right people.

Honestly Sheryl, as if I didn't have enough on my plate without worrying where the $&*@ all my backlinks were. :D

I usually keep track of where I leave my comments by subscribing to the post, something you don't use, much to my disgust. Am I missing something? Is there actually someway I can be notified when another comment is added to this post?

Now, if I could only remember where this post was so I can see what your reply is ;)
