TweetGlide, The newest Twitter app out by Mike Filsaime.

If you have not heard about it yet, could be that it has just gone public tonight (10/27/09).
I have a post for a fast Rundown about TweetGlide.

This post here, I have more of an explanation of all the buttons, settings…and How To’s.

As you can see in this picture,Tweet Glide looks almost like TweetDeck.

The 1st column is everyone you follow,
Column 2 is the Ads,
The 3rd is Mentions,
4th is Direct Messages,
Column 5 is Favorites.

Each column is also color coded and your tweets show up as Blue.

You can make a Group Column like you have on Tweetdeck.

You also have the options under the avatars to REPLY, RETWEET, DIRECT MESSAGE, or under the Additional Options (looks like a lightning bolt) to BLOCK, FOLLOW, UNFOLLOW...Sorry I couldn’t get a pic, it closed every time I moved my mouse.

As for the 2nd column being ads – You can buy ads, upgrade to get ads, or with the free version – every 5 tweets you send out gives you 1 advertising credit.

You also get an affiliate link, when people who have signed up under you purchase or tweet, you build credits (money if they purchase an upgrade).
From what I read you only get advertising credits from tweeting IF you have the 2nd column open on your application.

You can switch/slide all of the columns around EXCEPT for the advertising column. This prevents people from putting it out of site and never seeing anyone’s ads.

Each column (except ads) has a filter at the bottom.

This allows you to filter out by TEXT or by NAME.
The other buttons under the column are Left to Right;
UPDATE,
FILTER,
POPULAR this will pop up the most used Hashtags and Usernames of this column, You can filter down farther by checking the @ “in” or “Out” boxes to the far left of the main buttons.
The Checkmark is MARK ALL AS SEEN,
Scissors are CUT ALL SEEN this will clear the column of all tweets marked as seen,
The Garbage can will CLEAR ALL TWEETS IN THAT COLUMN,
The Arrow is how you slide the column left or right.

The buttons at the top are much like Tweetdeck

Left to Right are
Tweet – ummm, to send a tweet
The 2nd is HOME, this will remove your home/ all column,
The @ button will remove your MENTIONS column,
The 3rd is the ENVELOPEand removes your DIRECT MESSAGE column,
The HEARTwill remove your FAVORITES column,
Next is the button with 2 LITTLE PEOPLE this is to make your GROUP column,
The MAGNIFYING GLASS is your SEARCH it will let you have a column to search all of Twitter for a hashtag or keyword,
The F is for your FACEBOOK stream, you will need to allow it to log into your Facebook.
Next 3 buttons are INFO, UPGRADE, Close SPONSORED TWEETS.

Now when your TweetGlide is fully opened you will see 2 more sets of buttons on the top.

Left to Right they are;
HTTP this will tweet out your TweetGlide Affiliate link (please don’t constantly hit that button unless you want blocked).
The $ is EARN MONEY when clicked it will bring up info about the affiliate program,
The HAMMER is PROMO TOOLS this will bring up a page with email letters, text links… all with your Name and Affiliate link built in.
The $$ is to BUY ADS sure you know what that is,
Then the PAPERS is what looks like ads to other programs,
The ?takes you to SUPPORT.

You then have the REFRESH, SINGLE COLUMN, SETTINGS, LOG OUT.

When you go into SETTINGS you can click the ADS Tab and this is where you can write and save the ad you want sent out that will show in that 2nd column.

Also in SETTING under GENERAL you can set how often you want updates, your preferred URL shortener, send random tweets with your affiliate link…

Also in the Settings under STATS you can see tweets you sent with Links. It will show the tweet and how many clicks it got. I have only tried it using their link shortener. I am not sure if it shows stats for all shortening services.

Ok, that should get you started on your way with TweetGlide.
I will keep checking for any updates or mistakes I have made. Since it is Brand New, I am sure things will change fast. If I missed something…..Sorry.
