How To Put a Picture on a Forum using BBCode

I had a question come in asking how to Put an Image on a Forum Using BBCode.

This is very easy to do –
You will need the URL of the image,
Place [img]LINK to your picture[/img]
Here is an example

If you would like to make the picture clickable by adding a link under it –

[url=page link you want them directed to] [img]LINK to your picture[/img][/url]

[url=http://sherylloch.com][img]http://sherylloch.com/lochpic/seobook02.gif[/img][/url]

Now you will need to have the image uploaded onto the web to get the url. This could be at any place like Flickr, Photobucket, or on your own server.
You will also need to have the picture sized before placing it on a post in the forum. If you need a resizer you can see our thread Quick Picture Resizers

Some forum owners do not allow images to be placed on their board. This is likely to keep people from putting in pictures of unwanted things. Many forum owners just got tired of the spammers placing offensive pictures.

Please be sure to read and follow the rules at every forum you visit so you will not be banned. It takes time to build a relationship and trust at new forums so, you do not want to loose all that by not following the rules.

If you would like to see how to build a Forum Signature Line here is an easy ‘How To’.

If you have other questions please let me know and if I know the answer I will write a post for you. By placing the answers here it is easy for other to find also.
