A couple of days ago I got an email saying “You are In”.
This email was from someone that I truly respect so…I was excited!
I popped that baby open to see if there was a catch (my luck runs that way, LOL). Nope no real catch! I got a spot in the 12 week training class. YEAH!!! *Jump up and down, do a little shake*
Now, I get to the “starter questions”. They had placed 3 questions in the mail so you had a few weeks to get your answer worked out before the classes start. This is where I got SCREWED!
I have to figure out what topic I am an expert in. Or a topic I am passionate about enough to become an expert. Since we are going to make this a business you also have to be able to find out how you can make money with your ‘expert info’.
Now, I want to vomit. I am not an expert in anything. I have always been the Jackie of all trades. If someone needs me to do something then I try to figure it out and help them get it done.
I went looking for “how to find your passion”.
The majority of the info said to start with listing what makes you smile, what you talk about most, what you can talk about with ease…
Great! I can make my list no problem, right?!
Yeah, my list pretty much came down to Cait. She learns something new, draws a great pic, ranks for a post, even when she has an odd ball smart ass comment….I am smiling, I am happy to tell others…
Next would be Brad. When he has started a new site and it is moving up in the SERP’s…I am happy. He gets a new tool/program that makes it easier for him to do something…I’m thrilled.
I also have a huge smile when it comes to critters…duh, everyone loves critters. If a cute animal doesn’t make you smile…then you suck.
I spend a lot of time talking about natural health with people I know. But, it is not a good choice for a business…can you say “FDA lawsuit”?
I love giving stuff to people who need it. Not like free reports or junk that people just take. But, things people/animals NEED to make their life better. The problem is, this “passion” could cause me to go broke not make money.
So, as you can see, I am not getting far with my list. I am Passionless. Should I add that word to my résumé? It would fit nicely between coldhearted and sarcastic.
*How many of you know what you are truly passionate about?
**Are you doing what you are passionate about or is your passion a hobby?
***Could you make money by providing information about your passion?
I will continue working on my list and see how far I get.
