Shorten URL Firefox Add On
I was just on Twitter and JustJulie passed on a link, I took a look, and knew I needed to pass it along.
I know that so many people have stopped clicking on Tinyurl links since many scum sites use them to mislead you. Yet, having a shortened url is needed when using a place such a Twitter. The short url can also help cover your affiliate link.
Thanks to Julie, pointing out a handy FireFox add on, we have found a super easy url shortner!
SPEDR Will put an icon on your Firefox URL Toolbar.
Simply download the Addon spedr,
When you are on a page that has a long URL that you would like to shorten just click the new spedr icon.
Then wait just a second and BAM – new short url right there for you to copy and paste into your article, Twitter,….
This saves you from copping the long url, opening a new page, pasting in your long url, and then getting a short url. Yes, you can do it without opening another browser tab!

Thank you! Even if Tinyurl didn't have scum problems, it's annoying to switch sites. Love having this right in the address bar.
Hi Sandra,I fully understand the opening another page. I sometimes get to many tabs and end up lost. Multi tasking is 1 thing but, I go to excess sometimes. :)
