I was just on Twitter and JustJulie passed on a link, I took a look, and knew I needed to pass it along.

I know that so many people have stopped clicking on Tinyurl links since many scum sites use them to mislead you. Yet, having a shortened url is needed when using a place such a Twitter. The short url can also help cover your affiliate link.

Thanks to Julie, pointing out a handy FireFox add on, we have found a super easy url shortner!

SPEDR Will put an icon on your Firefox URL Toolbar.

Simply download the Addon spedr,
When you are on a page that has a long URL that you would like to shorten just click the new spedr icon.

Then wait just a second and BAM – new short url right there for you to copy and paste into your article, Twitter,….

This saves you from copping the long url, opening a new page, pasting in your long url, and then getting a short url. Yes, you can do it without opening another browser tab!
