Tip Drop for Helping Others

TipDrop is a site where you can post or answers questions for other people.

The site is set up for short, to the point answers.
You have a 255 character limit for your answer (you can also embed YouTube Video’s)
You build credibility points for your answers.
Earn from you Adsence Pub ID.
So far I have not seen any real spam as answers.

You can register for free, set up a profile is easy as entering your Full Name, Username, Email, and a Password.

Once you have registered
Log In,
Go to SETTINGS to add a 250 Character Bio and Upload a Picture. But wait! You can also add your ADSENCE ID. Place your Adsence ID in your setting and you can earn. They share 75% of all ad impressions with you.

While you are in your SETTINGS you can also DESIGN your background. If you choose to place an image it must be less than 100KB. It also does NOT do a repeat image. So, you may want to make a Tower Banner to put in as the image and it will appear on the Left side of your profile. Then adjust your background and side info colors to coordinate.

Next click the LINKS Text – You are allowed 10 links with mini descriptions that will be shown on your profile.
As you build credibility others will want to see more of what you write and do. These are NoFollow links but, if you have good (helpful) answers it could bring you a lot of click through traffic.

Now here is the part you will want to check next – The MY REFFERALS – Here you will find your Referral Link. When others Join under your link you can earn money IF you have your Adsence in place! My Tip Drop Referral Link - It’s OK, I joined under Karen Kramer so if you don’t want to join under me the find another persons link so, at least you are helping someone make money!

What I find funny is they say Each Visitor you send will be tagged with a 30 Year Cookie so, it will be noticed each time they visit.
Now, I am ROFLMAO!
I clear cookies about 10+ times a day on my computer. I also do not know why they went to the ‘far side’ with 30 years. Who the hell keeps a computer that long?
OK, I am over that now, I just had to share my laugh attack.

On to the other sections!
The TIP TIMELINE will show you all the latest tips you have posted. Mine is currently blank because I am writing this as I walk through the site. Hmph!

TIP SHEETS is where you can write your own question and answer
then pick a category for it to be placed in. They do have a nice category selection.

WHAT I LIKE will show you the tips that you felt were good enough to give them a vote. From what I am seeing the voting system will help keep the best tips and possibly get rid of spammy junk tips.

FOLLOWING TIMELINE will show the post from people you are following.
I suggest you find like minded people to follow so, you can learn from their tips, answer the questions they post, and get some ideas for blog post (I love watching for ideas on post).

They do have a TipDrop forum but, it looks as if you have to register for it separately. Tip for the owner - Hook that puppy up to the main TipDrop boys! No one wants to register twice!

Now to actually start posting tips is easy. Either go to Your TIP SHEETS page and write your own question and answer or click to the HOME page, pick your favorite category and find other peoples questions to answer.

If you find a person you like and would like to follow their tips simply click on their name and then on the right under their name you will see a FOLLOW text, click and you will now see all their tips in your FOLLOWING TIMELINE page.
Hint – look at who they follow as they might have some other cool people you will want to watch.

Extra News Tip from Karen Kramer herself just came in from Twitter – Once you hit 110 Credibility points you can add a Do Follow link in your tip! Great for those of us with many How To’s that can not fit everything in to a short post.

Also take note – They have implemented a Report Tip – this is like a little yellow button, you can report inappropriate or spammy tips, then the tip will be removed from the front page and if the reports pile up it will be given a NoIndex/NoFollow so, the SE’s will not send any searchers to it. I bet if the account gets enough bad reports then it is removed.

Ok, I think this will get you started.
I do expect to see you all at Tip Drop showing what you know, gaining credibility, and getting to the point so you can place many dofollow links to my great post. ;)

See ya there,
Sheryl Loch

Side Tip for all my friends – If you see that one of your friends has written a good tip give them a vote up so, they can be seen and build credibility faster. Do this ONLY if the tip is Helpful and to your high standards!

If you can leave a reference link, in an answer, but do not have that info on your own blog, leave the link to a friend’s site. Lets all work together. I do not know it all so, I many times send people to sites that are not mine, just so the person gets the help they need.

If you have joined us on TipDrop you can leave your ref link with your comments so, people can pick who they would like to join under.

For all us that are learning to be Market Leaders there is another thing to consider about TipDrop. Currently the top person in terms of creditability has only 264 points. When you first join you are given 100 points, so that means you only have to earn 164 more points to be top dog on the site. It is even easier to become the top authority in your niche on this site.

Once you have the top creditability than your tips will always rise to the top. I'm talking tips with do-follow links in them. The site is still fairly new so it doesn't have authority status yet, but it is growing which means those links will gain value.

Worth keeping an eye on...

Karen
