Yesterday seemed to be the ‘Piss, Whine, and Moan of Why I Hate Twitter’ day.

I saw more post and replies of how Twitter was a waste of time, filled with spam, a link farm, total useless updates and those who use it are stupid.

Fine, I understand that some people just do not like Twitter. But, I think that something must be said that if you are one that has a tweet stream filled with garbage then it is your own fault!

If you want to be involved on the site then you need to take control of who you follow. No one will twist your arm and make you follow porn queens or spammers, that is all up to you!

I follow only the people I want to. There is a reason I follow each person that I do. Yes, most of them send out links at some point. These links are of interest to them and many times the articles they send out are also of interest to me. None of the people I follow send out links saying ‘Buy my shit or I’ll send this out again in an hour’.

For those that are complaining that there are too many bots and porn spammers, I agree. I would love it if there was a way to completely rid the internet of those but, I haven’t found a way to do it. I do however know that I do not have to read their crap in my stream because I just don’t follow them. I can even keep them from being listed on my profile by blocking them. Damn, I must be a genius!

I just had a thought – maybe I should write a post about how email is a total waste of the internet. Yes! My inbox always has useless crap, sales letters, porn, and stuff from people I do not know. In fact today I got 15 emails for Enhancing My Penis, hint; I don not have a penis so that was a real waste of email. Hell, I can not even get my email to block all that junk.

Look everyone likes different things and we all have ways that we like to communicate or share bits of information so, just use what you like and leave the rest. Just stop bitching and moaning about everything that you do not like.

There now I can have my “I hate this” post. Does that make me just as special as you?
At least when I send a Tweet out with a link to this post I will not be a hypocritical ass.
