I know that most of us check out Backlinks to our site by using Yahoo Site Explore. It has always been a pretty reliable source.

Today I went to see if a few of my new backlink methods were getting any results and holy cow! Yahoo is changed!

Yes, you still get your backlinks and now you can see them in Categories.

Blogging,
Social Media,
Bloggers...

Now, I have noticed that the Categories to sort by have been listed 2 different ways. Sometimes when I did a back links check the Categories were listed on the Left side of the page. Other times I had to click the arrow directly UNDER the Search bar.

The sorting feature may come in very handy as we know that Google is telling us that we need a variety of backlink types. Maybe the ability to see categories will help us see where we should concentrate more backlinking efforts.

They have also added what the call NOTES. (This is a Pop Up Box, if you do not see it check any pop up blocker you may have.)
From what I have seen of this feature so far is when I open a page to one of my Backlinks it list that page in my notes. If I would like to add Personal notes about that post so, I have a reminder then I can do so by Logging in. You just simply log in through your normal Yahoo account.

Once Logged In I can Not only add my own Notes, I can also Save them, Share them, Email, or Print.

Yes, it appears that the Left Column Search Categories and the Notes are in Beta. Could be why my page looks different at different times of the day. Maybe they are still working on it a bit.
