Poverty, hunger, fear, and living on the streets is now the life of thousands of orphans. Was your heart moved when your saw the images of despair on the faces of these little kids who were earthquake-ravaged in the recent tragedy in Haiti?

Mine was the homeless, parentless, and helpless little kids left an indelible impact on Noel Turner. He decided “if I am going to run, then I want to run for a reason, I will run for a cause greater than ourselves.” The race is Monday May 31st, 2010 He will be running the Laguna Hills ½ Marathon, and I am running this race for the kids of Haiti.

There are people like Tom Hagan and “Hands Together” who embrace a special love for these precious little orphans who are completely marginalized and are living in squalor. Hands Together is a nonprofit organization devoted to educating, inspiring, and encouraging people to understand the importance of responding to the needs of the poor and disadvantaged. Their mission is to build a more compassionate and humane world, proceeds from the spiritual belief that we are all members of one, equal, interconnected family under a loving God.
